I am an artist, designer, and writer. I take inspiration from landscapes, people, and figures in stories, from fairy tales and folktales to literary dramas. I am drawn to tensions in narratives and questions of meaning. In my creative process, I layer colors or shapes to reflect the complexity and depth of our relationships with each other and the world around us. I value complexity and depth being conveyed in simple forms. I begin each work with the intention to help others see the inner, sometimes quiet moments of the human experience and to reveal the beauty that lies within them.
